So I've been writing stories for this website and here's one. It's the shortest one so far.

My "Pretty.Odd." Life: Ch.3- "She's A Handsome Woman"

After I left Hot Topics, I went to the apartment I kept in town for visits. I had my suitcases open on my bed, unpacking articles of clothing and hair junk. I had my phone up to my ear, listening to Rachel explain the night’s plans to me.

“Ok, so I’ll pick you up about 7. Don’t forget about the waffle iron,” Rachel explained. She had this elaborate plan that included a limo, music, and a waffle iron.

“Umm…what’s with the iron?” I was really curious by this point.

“Oh, the hosts like waffles.” Ok, I was past the point of curious; I was OBSESSED.

“Who are the hosts? Where are we going? What the heck Rach?”

“I—can’t—hear—you—bye,” she fake broke up. My phone went dead.

Uh-huh. She totally faked it.

So I was left by myself to pick out what I was wearing that night. I grabbed a pair of skinny black jeans with built-in suspenders and a white shirt with candy skulls on it. I took my clothes to the bathroom and decided to take a shower. The shower had always been a place that I could clear my head. I never took a shower without the radio. I turned it on my favorite station and twisted the hot water on and jumped in.

The past week came rushing back to me at full force. What had I done wrong? Why did they decide that I “was no longer needed”? Was Paris okay without me?

One of my band’s songs started to play on the radio I had brought in and I began to cry. It was another one that Rachel had written. Before the band broke up, Rachel was the girl next door; name-brand clothes, nails and hair always done, no matter if she had just waked up or she was going to school. Now she was sporting the grunge look. She looked like she belonged in Hot Topics.

I stepped out of the shower and memory lane. I wrapped the towel around my steaming body and wiped of the mirror. I took a good long look at myself. My long, natural brown hair had gone from it’s original color to short, red with purple highlights since I had last looked in that mirror. Last time the mirror had saw me, I had nerd glasses and now crystal blue eyes stared back. I had a new eyebrow piercing and nose stud. My lips had a deep red tint to them without gloss. I refused to have sunshine touch my body, so I had pale cheeks and forehead and high cheekbones. I had little fat on my body, but a good figure, so I could wear a lot of things. After assessing my body, I came to the conclusion that I hated how I looked.

“It’s as good as its gonna get,” I told my reflection as I put the finishing touches on my makeup and clothes thirty minutes later. Rachel’s car honked its horn as if it was impatient. I grabbed my phone and twenty bucks as I ran out the door.

So this past Thursday through Monday I was at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Yeah, that place blows.

I mean, I bet if I was like ten years younger, it would have been "magical", but for me, it was way too kiddie. Like the only thing I enjoyed about it was the Mt. Everest ride in the Animal Kingdom. Then it had to have been the Rockin' Roller Coaster in the Hollywood Studios.

So you know how Disney World is supposed to be "the place where dreams come true"?

Well, I went to the House of Blues Thursday and saw a poster advertising that Panic! At The Disco was going to perform there the DAY after. I was esstatic until I realized, I WAS GOING TO BE IN THE FREAKIN' MAGIC KINGDOM ALL THE NEXT DAY!!!!

.....so yeah, my week has sucked thus far.

You know the saying,

"There's always a light at the end of the tunnel"?

Well, with my luck, that light is probably an oncoming train.

There is an exception to every rule...

What do you think is too serious to joke around about?

I think that alcoholism is too serious to joke about. Too many people these days have been affected by alcohol in one way or another: parents, coworkers, spouses, etc.

So yeah this is my first blog entry ever! Yeah thats right, feel excited. Ok so anyway, my favorite band right now is Panic! At The Disco. You guys have no idea. I had a dream the other night that I was getting married to Ryan Ross. He is my favorite person out of that band, then Brendan, then Spencer, and finally Jon. It's not that they're so hot (although they REALLY are), but I like them more for their music. It inspires me. I cannot wait until I become a music producer or talent scout. My goal in life is to not just be a fan of P!ATD, but to be a friend. Someone they can call and tell how their day went. I don't care about free tickets or anything like that; I just want to be friends. And it's not like I would try to jump their bones when they came around. I just want to get to know them personally. So I guess thats it for now. And I'll leave you with some "Nine In The Afternoon". Good Day.
